HIV/AIDS Care

Medical Services

The Pediatric and Adolescent HIV Care Team (PAAHCT) is made up of a variety of highly trained professionals who specialize in caring for families affected by HIV. Pediatricians trained as infectious disease specialists provide direct medical care and oversee the program. Our Family Nurse Practitioners provide primary HIV medical care and oversee individual patient care plans. Pediatric care includes evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of children infected or affected by HIV. Home health care and linkages to clinical trials are also provided as needed.

The Adult HIV/AIDS Clinic provides medical care to over 600 adults who are living with HIV. As pediatric patients age into adulthood (age 25 or older) they transition into this Adult HIV program. Patients receive counseling and education about a range of topics, including living with HIV/AIDS, taking medications, maintaining their health and well-being, and preventing the transmission of HIV. For more information call (773) 702-1876.

The Women’s Access to Comprehensive Healthcare (WATCH) Program serves adolescent and adult women who are exposed to or infected with HIV. The program provides full OB/GYN care and social services from a team of professionals who specialize in caring for women and their children. For more information call (773) 702-1876.
